Artist Mentoring Programme

Topic: Workshop/Residency Application Procedures for local artists

Date: 8th March 2011   Time: 2:30pm   Venue: Kuona Gallery

Kenyan artists despite being talented and ready for international residencies, workshops and exhibitions, often miss out simply by writing poor applications.

This is a skill that is easily learnt if you know the procedure, language and expectations.  Kuona has recently put out a call for applications for its 11th Wasanii International Workshop, August 2011 and is using this as an opportunity to teach a session on workshop/residency application procedures with Wasanii as a model.

Artists will be taken through the definitions and contents of all the required documents; Application letter, Biography, Curriculum Vitae, Artist statement, A supporting statement, Statement of Intent and  how to edit images including universally accepted formats.

They will then be guided on how to compile an application that may give you that life/art changing opportunity!

Kindly confirm your participation by email;
